At the most recent meeting on May 5, the Massachusetts State Referee Committee voted to raise the minimum age for becoming a referee to 14 years old and to phase out the current grade 9 program. Click Here for more information.

Existing 12-13 year-old referees will be allowed to recertify at the grade 9 level until reaching the age of 14, after which they will be given bridge course training to move to grade 8.

Contact our Course Administrator if you are under age 16 and a current grade 9 referee, and would like additional information on how this change affects you.


The MSRC is going green!  You will see a new document to sign when you next log into the web site.  It contains the same language as your annual Registration form, and will eventually replace the printed forms.


The MSRC has approved new requirements for referees seeking to become or maintain grade 7 or above. These are effective January 1, 2014 and are now posted in the Upgrade section of our web site here.

Over the Weekend of February 14 through 17th three Massachusetts Referees, Anthony Brossi, Zachary Levin, and Nick Karnovsky, had the opportunity to officiate at the US Youth Futsal National Championships at the New Century Fieldhouse in Gardner, Kansas. Read More
