It is the policy of the Massachusetts State Referee Committee’s (MSRC) to respect and protect the privacy of our users.  This policy statement tells you how we collect information from you and how we use it. 

 

The Internet contains a wealth of information; unfortunately, it may also contain personal details about you that you don't want everyone to know.  For example, your real name (lots of people on the Internet use aliases, alter egos, or nicknames), street address, phone number, or e-mail addresses.  When you go online, sites you visit may be gathering information about you without your knowledge.  At MSRC we strive to help our users protect their privacy while using our services.

 

Personally Identifiable Information

 

Personally Identifiable Information collected by MSRC is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties or employees of MSRC except for use within the purview of their duties.  MSRC secures your Personal Identifiable Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.  We secure the Personal Identifiable Information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment.  All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices.  The Personally Identifiable Information of our Visitors and our Members is only accessible to a limited number of qualified employees who are given a password in order to gain access to the information.  We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. 

 

Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers, are protected by industry standard encryption protocols, in place to protect information sent over the Internet.  While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or our Members for any such occurrences.

 

Use of Personally Identifiable Information by MSRC

 

We use your Personally Identifiable Information to inform you of deadlines, courses or opportunities available from MSRC, United States Soccer Federation (USSF), affiliated leagues and/or sanctioned tournaments.   Additionally, MSRC provides your personally identifiable information to USSF as it pertains to your referee registration.  We do not sell, transfer or share the information with third parties.

 

Online Payment

MSRC may contract with gateway providers to offer users the opportunity to pay for programs, events, classes, and registration through the website.  To facilitate payment, it may be necessary for these providers to collect personal information about users, including name, billing and mailing addresses, e-mail address, telephone number and a credit card number.  Credit card numbers are not stored on our site.
