Development and Mentor Program Director

Overall Responsibility

The Development and Mentor Program Director is responsible for developing and improving the technical and mechanical skills of referees; and is also responsible for facilitating the pairing of aspiring referees with mentors.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Create and maintain programs for referee development using current and up-to-date materials.
• Identify and recruit mentors and assist in pairing them with aspiring referees.
• Liaison with members of the State Referee Committee and local league officials in order to identify referee development needs.

Consults with

State Referee Administrator, State Youth Referee Administrator, State Director of Assessment, State Director of Instruction, and liaison with local league officials.

Term

There is no specified term, the Development and Mentor Program Director serves at the pleasure of the State Referee Administrator.
