Upgrade and Recertification Requirements for Assessors
All
candidates for upgrade must be approved by the SDA
Associate
Assessor Grade 9
- Has been an affiliated
referee for a minimum of three years and has attained the level of Referee
Grade 7
- Approved by the SDA
- Has attended and
successfully passed the requirements of the entry level assessment course
- Is a
minimum of 25 years of age
Recertification
- 5 Assessments annually
- Attend and
complete annual In-service training
Provisional
Referee Assessor Grade 8
- Has performed at least 15
assessments on grade 7 and 8 referees
- Has at least one year in
grade as an associate assessor
- Is a
minimum of 26 years of age
Recertification
- 5 assessments
annually
- Attend and
complete annual In-service training
Referee
Assessor Grade 7
- Has assessed
at least 5 games U-17 or above, as approved by the SDA
- One game to
be completed under the supervision of a Mentor Assessor as approved by the
SDA
- Has at
least one year in grade as a provisional referee assessor
Recertification
- 5 assessments
annually
- 2 games at
the U-19 level or above
- Attend and
complete annual In-service training
Provisional
State Assessor Grade 6
- Has obtained the level of
Referee Grade 6 or higher
- Has assessed a minimum of 20
affiliated games at the U-19 level or above
- Has one year in grade as a
Provisional State Assessor
- Has the recommendation of
the State Director of Assessment
- Has successfully completed
all requirements of the State Assessor course
Recertification
- 8 assessments
annually
- 3 games at
the Adult Division 2 or higher
- Attend and
complete annual In-service training
State
Assessor Grade 5
- Has assessed a minimum of 30
affiliated games at the U-19 level or above
- Has assessed at least 5
games at the Adult Division 1 level, as approved by the SDA
- One game to
be completed under the supervision of a Mentor Assessor as approved by the
SDA
- Has one year in grade as a
Provisional State Assessor
- Has the recommendation of
the State Director of Assessment
Recertification
- 8 assessments annually
- 3 games at the Adult Division
2 level or higher
- Attend and complete annual
