State Director of Assessment (SDA)

Overall Responsibility

The SDA is responsible for the implementation of the National Federation’s assessment program within the state.

The SDA will act as liaison between the State and the National Director of Assessment. The SDA is responsible for the recruitment, training, and advancement of registered assessors in Massachusetts.

The SDA must be currently registered as a State Assessor.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Assignment of assessors to game and tournaments while budgeting available resources.

Ensures that required annual maintenance assessments be completed in a timely manner to allow for referee advancement and annual recertification requirements.

Reports the results of assessments done during the year to the State Referee Committee.

Recruits, trains, and develops assessors as needed to meet state requirements.

Consults with

State Referee Administrator and the Massachusetts State Referee Committee.

Term

The SDA shall be appointed for a specified two (2) year term and may be reappointed.
